It’s well known that the "power" of the lens can be adjusted, to improve performance (that’s a common practice in modded consoles).
You have to use a screwdriver and act on a "regulator".
Is that possible even on a cd/dvd burner (even a slim one, made for laptops?)
Forgot to say:
It’s a matshita UJ 831 S, and it used to burn WHATEVER format (DVD+-R/RW and CD)
Then it stopped burning CD..Error after 12% written
After some months, same happened with DVD+ (the DVD- were still on its graces)
Now it’s lost the feature completely, it can just read (has no prob on that side, though)
And no, i exclude the soft problem: it went through at least 3 formats, and still shows up the same problems
